(catching up while not doing work...) So, I think I'm sort of ambivalent
about the naming/categorization of this document. I think that's directly
related to me not knowing exactly how/where/why documents are categorized
as 'rfc' or 'bcp', so I might not be the best judge of direction for this
question :(
I think that the goal of the document was to:
1) gather up things operations folks expect networking equipment to be
able to do going forward
2) provide a document operators can cite in RFP processes with
vendors/selves
3) provide a document operators can cite in policy documents internal to
their organizations
I just don't know with any real confidence which direction that would push
this document, and I'd ask some more-IETF-knowledgable folks to aim it for
me/us/the-WG.
