so, would you care to really stick your neck out and start a
charter for such a design team?  no promises.  but i bet the
discussion will act as a focus forcer.  and, if the mission is
larger than xml-based, which i suspect/hope it is, perhaps
this is the wrong list, or at least not the only list, for
the discussion.

i repeat, no promises.  but it could be a good discussion.
