I missed this earlier but the definition of WAN interface seems a bit restrictive:

"WAN interface - a single network interface on the CPE Router that
      is used to connect the router to the access network of the Service
      Provider."

Remove the word single as some vendors may want to have the option of providing additional interfaces on the WAN link for bridging additional devices to the subnet directly connected to the service provider. Additional WAN interfaces are particularly helpful for facilitating troubleshooting of the Service Provider to customer link.

Additionally, for those vendors that wish to integrate the layer 2 (DSL/cable) modem as part of the CPE router (where the "WAN" encapsulation is not ethernet), perhaps a separately named interface definition might be appropriate to avoid confusion with "WAN".
