On a link which typically includes 2^64 addresses, it probably doesn't hurt to reserve some if someone or a protocol would like to use it for anycast purposes (in the similar fashion it's used today with v4, just without requiring manual assignment).

But as I mentioned on 6man list in the context of /127 and RFC3627, I wouldn't personally object to obsoleting RFC2526.
