If customers are not using any application level service offered by the
ISP (i.e. read mail through gmail/hotmail/yahoo, etc, don't visit the ISP's
website, etc.) then it may go undetected. That's true.
Otherise, admins learn quickly enough. It may be tricky to find at first.
but soon everybody starts talking about that new IPv6 thing and how much
trouble it causes.
ISP helpdesks will also be quick to ask customers to disable IPv6 to resolve
any problems.
