The Internet Draft, "Data Model for Network Access"
(draft-spence-aaa-nas-data-model-00.txt) attempts to organize the
familiar RADIUS attributes used for dialin network access according to a
network access model. First, a graphical model was created, and then an
explicit, structured set of data objects was derived, expressed as a
Policy Information Base (PIB) according to the rules of SPPI.
This work is primarily of interest in the AAA WG, but I thought that the RAP
WG might be interested in seeing this application of the SPPI work. On
behalf of the authors, we would very much appreciate feedback from those
most familiar with the modeling techniques and the SPPI.
Unfortunately, the graphical model could not be included in the draft
itself due to the limitations of text-only formatting. A PDF file
containing both the draft and the graphic can be obtained from the
following web page:

For those of you who already have the draft, the graphic in GIF format
can also be viewed there.
