Status compliance check across SMIv1/SMIv2

Hello,

what do we do if we want to check the status
compliance for two MIB objects where one is written
using SMIv1 rules (mandatory etc.) and the latter
using SMIv2 rules (current, obsolete etc.). Is
"current" equivalent to "mandatory" in this case? or
is this kind of compliance check across SMIv1/SMIv2
allowed?

-----------------------------------------------
eg:
ABC-MIB
IMPORTS
            OBJECT-TYPE FROM RFC-1212;

           ebgStatsEntry OBJECT-TYPE
           ..
           ..
           STATUS mandatory
           ..

XYZ-MIB
IMPORTS
           OBJECT-TYPE   FROM SNMPv2-SMI
           ebgStatsEntry FROM ABC-MIB;

          ebg2StatsEntry OBJECT-TYPE
          ..
          ..
          STATUS current
          AUGMENTS { ebgStatsEntry }
          ..

----------------------------------------------

How do i do status compliance check here?

Regards,

Chintan Sheth
