sigh.  please, please, please minimize use of PowerPoint and similar
tools.  it just puts people to sleep and takes away from precious time 
that could be devoted to discussions.

if you really need to put a visual in front of people, especially
a picture or diagram that can explain a subtle point, PowerPoint is
a good tool.  but it's hardly ever used that way.
