The date is 4-dec-2002 :-) (I was confused for a second or two).

You don't need to wait for a WG Last Call to comment on a draft.
The Last Call is a last call for comments, though -- beyond the Last
Call, there would have to be a serious reason to change the document.
As the two week + two days WG Last Call was in August, I do not believe
that your comments will be applied to this document.
On the other hand, that doesn't mean that your comments will go
unanswered.

No comments were received from the OSPF WG, whom we informed about this
document to make sure they are aware of the situation, the changes
proposed to OSPF, and the impacts thereof. Ideally (if the authors
have done due diligence), there should be no comments from the OSPF WG.

The Last Call "event" is a MUST by IETF procedures.
However, we will try to get you an answer. As for attention in the
WG, that's a two-edged sword -- be careful what you ask for :-)
