True but people on this list have consistently assuming XML will replace
SNMP solving the problem SNMP has.  It is simply not true.  

Without the mapping mechanism specified, this is a head-ache for NMS to
do the correlation all over again.  Note that existing MIB mapping at
least has some common practice that is used by a lot of vendors.  It is
very uncertain if XML conf will follow the same path.
