RE: Goals for netconf - moving towards the charter description



There is an SNMP over Ethernet RFC, but I do not think that it has any widely spread deployment (or maybe any deployment). 

All Ethernet management I am aware about is being performed over IP. All SNMP managed IP devices I know have an IP stack, thus are 'IP-centric' according to your definition. Many - especially in enterprise environments - do SETs.
