Why is it targeted at this WG

        

This
document provides a framework for Provider Provisioned Virtual

        

Private
Networks (PPVPNs). This framework is intended to aid in the

        

standardization
of protocols and mechanisms for support of PPVPNs.

        

The
framework is also useful as an introduction to the related technical

        

issues.

Justification

        

This
framework document represents a merger of several

        

documents
which were offered as input to the PPVPN working

        

group. It
was prepared by a design team at the request of the

        

working
group chairs and area directors. It will be modified in

        

response
to comments received and the ongoing efforts of the

        

working
group.
