While talking with folks about these thing, I notice
the same ?? keeps coming up :

  recover from ??
  survive the event of ??
  restore after ??
  protect against ??

It's very hard to talk about restoration and so on
without talking about ??  And ?? has ranged all over the
map from flaky interface cards to floods in Houston to malicious
routing attacks on DNS servers.

And that brings us to the very difficult problem of talking
about ?? in a generic way.   I recently got dragged into an
attempt to define "outage" in the IP space.
Ouch.  I'm sure we don't want to go there.  (It always comes
down to "I know one when I see one".)

So do we really want to narrow the scope on the type of ??
that we are thinking about?
