Please be aware that the "ASN.1 style" may be understood in your own
community as a pair of hyphens, with newline terminating the comment,
but in the ASN.1 world, this is the ***old*** ASN.1 style.  (Still
available, of course, for backward compatibility.) The ability to use
the C-style /* and */ around single or multi-line comments was added to
the 1997 version as an ammendment some time ago, and is an integral part
of the 2002 version.
