Is this a notification (or event message) related question, or a generic
NETCONF issue?

FWIW, if the 1500 bytes figure is related in anyway with the approximate
max length of a Ethernet package payload, the IEEE 802.3 WG is extending
this value to 2k, so we would like to align with this new standard value
rather than falling into a backwards compatibility CLR.
