'presented' is too kind a word ;^) There's a reason they don't
let me out of the office ;^)

Amen. And even the small points will be painful without consistency
even in vendor-specific areas. When does one use attributes verses
elements? How does the layout of elements affect the efficiency of
xpath/xquery matches?

Yup, the xml-mode command gives a mechanism to use an connection
as an xml pipe, but some more formal for the normal case is
worthwhile.
