I am aware of at least two vendor-dependent solutions to this
question. In those cases, many (f not all) nonVolatile objects are written
only when a certain object (in enterprise space) is set.
I am personally a believer in rewriting objects as they are set,
but understand that there can be data coherency problems and
nvram durability problems associated with doing this.

I am not aware of a standard model for doing this.
