SUMMARY:
This draft describes the Service Providers deployement scenarios and
requirements for Diff-Serv-aware MPLS Traffic Engineering. It also
discusses why existing protocols/semantic/implementations cannot meet
these scenarios/requirements.
It is an update of draft-ietf-tewg-diff-te-reqts-00.txt
with more input from Service Providers.

This fits into TE-WG.
WHY IS IT TARGETED AT THIS WG
This directly addresses a specific item of the TEWG charter:
"For the time being, it also is covering the area of verification that
diffserv is achievable in traffic engineered SP networks. This will entail
verification and review of the
Diffserv requirements in the the WG Framework document and initial
specification of how these requirements can be met through use and
potentially expansion of
existing protocols. "
JUSTIFICATION
The draft directly addresses an item of the charter.
It replaces draft-ietf-tewg-diff-te-reqts-00.txt which was a TEWG Working
Group document.
