This is definitely true. Some more details:

The text says

     "aepfel" vs. "<U+00E4>pfel.com"

thus equating apples with oranges. It should either be

     "aepfel.com vs. <U+00E4>pfel.com"

or it should be

     "Aepfel" vs. "<U+00C4>pfel"

(nouns are always written in upper case in German).
