Well, I guess what you call a sub-CDN is quite close to what we call a
"delivery tree" in the draft. But multiple delivery trees in a unique CDN
use the same mapping system whereas sub-CDN may imply that each sub-CDN is
autonomous and owns its own mapping system.

Indeed, but I think this is an issue related to the "routing" part of the
mapping process, whereas the draft is focused on the "forwarding" part.
