FW: mailing list
We have a new mailing list! See details below. Thanks, Randy for setting
this up. Please note that this will be a fully open list with an archive,
and thus far superior to what would have been possible with what I have
readily at hand.
We will have a challenge with making the transition. I'd like to propose
people do the following:
1. Add yourself to "cdn@ops.ietf.org" following the instructions below.
2. After doing so, send mail to
"cpwg-discussion-request@content-peering.org" asking to be removed. This
alias is answered by people, not Majordomo, so please behave accordingly.
;-)
When participating in the email discussion about CDN peering, people should
send mail to *both lists* until a reasonable time for change-over has taken
place. I am proposing a week as that reasonable time. So in one week (on
the 11th of October) I will
(a) send mail to whoever is still on cpwg-discussion, alerting them that
they must subscribe to cdn if they want to know what's going on;
(b) send mail to cdn, alerting people not to cc: the cpwg-discussion list
any more; and
(c) point the cpwg-discussion alias at the cdn mailing list.
I hope this will allow us to make the transition without disrupting our
conversation.
Document editors, please submit new draft versions with the new discussion
address, so that people encountering the topic on the IETF web site will be
directed to the right place.
I already saw one excellent message sent by Stephen Thomas. I hope it won't
be too much of an inconvenience to ask him, and anyone else who has sent
messages to cpwg-discussion, to send another copy to cdn for the archives.
Note that you have to subscribe to the list before you can post.
Thanks,
--Mark
