As I said previously, the situation you are describing above is *not*
the same as 'add to 
the network some older equipment.'  What you are describing is adding
new equipment to an existing network, and there are many options for
doing this, but going from CP->MP is not one of them.  If the existing
equipment was deployed with an MP and you didn't want to upgrade it to
CP, you would just deploy the new equipment with MP from the beginning.
