hello Don,

 

                For every mail that leaves out of my inbox, my employer attaches the disclaimer as a part of

                organization security policy. I can't do anything abt it and i guess it also doesn't have anything to

                do to make my queries invalid on a public list either and should not be a problem to discuss queries

                and make things clear ..After all we are here to share veiws and ideas and come out with better solutions.

               

                Don't really understand why this should become an issue at all. Neway, if the disclaimer hurts any individual,

                please excuse me ...n sorry abt it ...other wise i don't see any reason why one should not answer the queiries 

                

                Please find my questions in the mail attached ..

            Since the suggested label and label set tlvs are optional in a Generalized label request, how do i handle

            a situation when someone has sent a request with both the TLVs present ??

   

            Do label set tlv has higher priority over suggested label in which case i can go ahead ignoring the

            suggested label and try to satisfy the request with label set as constraint on label or do i need to

            satisfy the suggested label constraint since my upstream has sent me the suggested label with

            an assumption that it will be satisfied and moreover since it would have created a crossconnect also.

            And ignore the label set tlv.

 

            I understand that this is a scenario where upstream is malfunctioning but that needs to be handled for sure and

            cannot be ignored

 

            Please do clarify things ...
