In Search of Darius' Lost Fleet : The Persian War Shipwreck Survey

Currently teaching biblical and maritime archaeology at Texas A&M's Institute of Nautical Archaeology, Professor Wachsmann has been carrying out research on underwater antiquities in the eastern Mediterranean, the Sea of Galilee (about which he talked at the Institute in 2002) and the Red Sea since 1976. He is the author of four books and numerous scientific and popular publications. His most recent book, Seagoing Ships and Seamanship in the Bronze Age Levant, was published in 1998. Professor Wachsmann is a featured grantee in National Geographic Interactive.
