resume a saved draft

is there a straightforward way to resume editing a saved message
draft, or to use a saved message as the basis for a new one (what in
evolution or Thunderbird might be the "edit as new message" option?)?
I don't often have to do this but on the occasions I do it would be
nice not to have to reender addresses and subject lines by hand after
copying the message text, which is my current method.  thanks again,
