If it doesn't fetch from the server when it's already in the
cache, there's almost no point in saying anything at all about it, and
that language is just an opportunity to confuse or misinform.  I'll
put it on my list of doc fixes.

Argh, I can't win :(

Gnus has a lousy IMAP implementation and is too tortured for me to
understand well, WL is not very well-supported (for non-japanese
speakers at least) and seems to be having trouble with large NNTP
groups, etc., etc.

I wish I knew how to improve the situation.
