Hi -

Since there's been a lot of discussion of these topics here, I
figured it'd be good to let the working group know about this.

There's a proposed new work item in ISO-land, described in
JTC1/SC 6 N12479, "Proposal for a New Work Item, ASN.1
Support for SOAP, Web Services and the XML Information Set"

The US NB position on this proposal is being formulated in
INCITS T3.
