WHERE DOES IT FIT IN THE PICTURE OF THE SUB-IP WORK

  GSMP is a protocol used to control an underlying fabric.  It
  therefore could be seen as fitting into the bottom layer of the
  hourglass.  It is, however, a different sort of item then the other
  items listed in that plane, and if the hourglass were 3 dimensional
  could be viewed as deriving from CCAMP into a management plane.

WHY IS IT TARGETED AT THIS WG

  The GSMP protocol is being extended within the GSMP working group.

JUSTIFICATION

  The GSMP group has been chartered to work on extension to support
  GMPLS and other work being done in the sub IP area.
