SUMMARY
This memo defines a portion of the Management Information Base (MIB)
for use with network management protocols in the Internet community.
In particular, it describes managed objects for the General Switch
Management Protocol (GSMP).
The draft has been through both WG last call and and IESG last call
and is currently in the IESG queue.

WHERE DOES IT FIT IN THE PICTURE OF THE SUB-IP WORK
GSMP is a protocol used to control an underlying fabric. It
therefore could be seen as fitting into the bottom layer of the
hourglass. It is, however, a different sort of item then the other
items listed in that plane, and if the hourglass were 3 dimensional
could be viewed as deriving from CCAMP into a management plane.
WHY IS IT TARGETED AT THIS WG
The GSMP MIB is being defined within the GSMP working group.
JUSTIFICATION
The GSMP group has been chartered to work on the GSMP mib.
