Well, yes, but the case that is "preserved" in a response is sometimes
the case that was used in the request, sometimes the case that
somebody else used in a different request, and sometimes the case that
was originally used in the zone master file.  Different labels in the
response can "preserve" case from different sources.  The current
behaviour is really not very useful, and it might make sense to give
up all pretense of preserving case.
