  This is a really interesting approach.  Dan, could you perhaps provide
some examples (common cases and the outliers) of a SASE-encoded string?  
Its difficult for a dummy like me to appreciate something unless I see it
actually implemented.  Comparisons against RACE versions of those strings
would be nice too.

  Perhaps an interesting mini-draft would be to compare the various ACE
proposals that are out there.  I'd be willing to work on this, although
this could also be folded into Paul's comparison document.  We've
developed (and are using) another encoding scheme for UCS that is similar
in flavor to RACE, and I'd like to get an I-D together for that hopefully
after the US holiday next weekend, for comparison's sake if nothing more.
