if you or others know of people who are considering adopting things that
appear to be solutions now, would you please consider pointing them at
RFC2585, the IAB's "this problem is not simple" statement?

The purpose of the document was to provide some background perspective
for people who aren't necessarily immersed in all aspects of
Internetworking; the trick now is getting it out to an audience
that doesn't necessarily read RFC announcements...

(Suggestions of extra-IETF places to put pointers to the doc are
 welcome...).
