Enough: Staying Human in an Engineered Age

Professor McKibben achieved international prominence in 1989 with his pathbreaking book, The End of Nature, a powerful treatise on the state of the environment and the concomitant need for a fundamental change in human activity. In his latest book, the subject of his talk to The Vancouver Institute, Professor McKibben turns his attention to the threats posed to humankind by a broad array of new scientific advances, ranging from biotechnology to robotics and nanotech. Mr. McKibben is a regular contributor to The New York Review of Books, The New York Times, and The Atlantic Monthly.
